This aftermarket Exhaust Y Pipe Water Shutter Flapper Reference to Mercury Quicksilver part number:  807166A1

Engine type :

Used on many Mercruiser stern drive V8 engines. ( Some V6 that came with the two piece maniflold/elbow )

This kit is contains 2 Flapper and 4 Grommets.

Dimensions:

2.48 diameter at cross pin.
This shutter is 6" long x 2-1/2" wide.
It is held in place with a 1/8" x 1/4" metal bar molded to it which is 3" long and has 2 instulation grommets included.

This aftermarket exhaust water shutter used with the exhaust elbow. It is located in the exhaust Y-pipe.

These bellows and shutters are designed for the following MerCruiser applications:

For 1982-1996 engines, there are some 1996 and 1997 models that apply.

• If your Y-Pipe has round holes (oval 4" Y-pipes with round pin holes) you will need the 807166A3 water shutter. Does not work on V6 models with one piece manifold or early V8 with round pin through flapper, as it requires use of the 807166A2 Flapper.
• If you have two rectangular holes for the grommets you will need the 807166A1 water shutter.
• If your Y-pipe changes size a few inches bellow the shutter you have a one piece manifold V6 Y-pipe and need shutter 807166A2.
